How to Measure Your Nails
Step 1 | TAPE
Cut small strips of clear tape slightly longer than the width of your nails. You'll need one strip for each nail.
Step 2 | PRESS
For every nail, carefully place each strip of tape over your nails, ensuring it covers the entire nail bed from side to side. Then gently press down on the tape to ensure it adheres to your nails properly, smoothing out any air bubbles or wrinkles, and making sure to press the crease on each side where your nail meets your skin.
Step 3 | MARK
Using a pen or fine tip marker, make a small mark on each side of the tape strip where it meets the edge of your nail bed. This will indicate the width of your nail.
Step 4 | REMOVE
Carefully peel off the tape strips from your nails, being mindful not to smudge the markings.
Step 5 | MEASURE
Lay each tape strip flat on a surface and measure the distance between the two marks you made on each one. This measurement represents the width of your natural nails. Write down the measurements for each nail. You may want to label them according to finger for easier reference.
Step 6 | COMPARE
Compare your measurements to the size chart to see what size nail tip you need for each finger. Choose the size that closely matches each of your natural nail widths. It's always recommended to get a bigger nail size if you are unsure of which size to choose, you can always file it down to your exact nail size if it turns out to be too big.
